What does narrow rim actually get me?

A thin, clean edge instead of a wide lip. Undermounted, you wipe crumbs from the counter straight into the sink. Top mounted, it still looks minimal.

Why is there no faucet or gadgets with this one?

On purpose. This is the simple sink for people who already have a faucet they love. You pay for good steel and a clean look, nothing else.
